Jessie & I went out to dinner yesterday evening. We ended up going toTempe Market Place – which is like an outdoor mall. We walked around and Jessica was intrigued by the fun lights & waterfall… not so much by the live band because it was way to loud for her sensitive ears. Anyhow, as we are waiting for our food, Jessica is just looking around just checking out her surroundings. She then asks me in a sweet innocent voice in amazement.. “Mom, are we at Disneyland?” Keep Reading
Ande & Jill (my lovely niece) had a choir performance in Flagstaff this past weekend for a Madrigal Festival. I don’t like to miss any of Ande’s performances so I decided that I would make the trip up to Flagstaff with Jessie in tow.
So after a little begging, my sister Sylvia said she’d go with me (Thanks for changing your plans for me so that I wouldn’t have to go alone). Anyhow, my initial plan was to just drive up and back the same day since it was only a 2.5 hour drive. Sylvia convinced me to stay over night. Of course since there was snow there I didn’t mind staying over night considering Jessica hadn’t ever touched snow. She did see snow when she was 9 months and on the rode when we were camping last year.. but has never played in it. Keep Reading
I walk out to my car to get my cell phone and I hear some chick say, “Excuse me, can I borrow your phone”.. I was about to give her my cell phone but she was crying and looked very distraught and going off looks, it seemed as if she hadn’t slept all night. I wasn’t sure if she was on drugs or what the case was so I told her to give me a minute and I would go inside and get the house phone.
Anyhow… long story short.. (ok.. not so short – but condensed version) When I was handing her the phone she was crying hysterically. I didn’t know what to think. She seemed confused and lost. Anyhow, she just held the phone and then started crying saying “I don’t know anyone’s phone numbers because they are all on my cell and they just dropped me off down the street and stole my phone.” Hmm… I asked her who stole her phone and she just cried and said she didn’t know. A week ago I had said I was FINALLY feeling healthy. Well… that only lasted for ONE flipping day! I woke up Sunday feeling like BLAH. I was tired, felt weak, my body ached and I had no energy. I figured maybe I just slept wrong. I wish that had been the case. So… later in the morning I realized that my throat was sore and I had a little cough so I decided to take some medicine. I get to church and I had the most difficult time staying awake. When I got home I realized that I had taken NYQUIL… oops! hahaha
