Random Act of Kindness

Dear Anonymous,

I got home from an exhausting day to find a mini grocery store on my front porch. Your Random Act of Kindness brought a HUGE smile to my face and what you did  was much appreciated. This may sound really horrible of me to say but I had a mix of emotions all at the same time when I saw all the awesomeness that you left for my daughter and myself. I was a tad angry but in a good, happy, baffled and humbled way all at the same time.   The only reason I was a tad angry (but in a good way) was because you didn’t leave a note saying who you were. How in the world could I thank you or repay you for what you did if you didn’t let yourself known. Grrrrr…. I was baffled because why  in the world would someone do this for me? I for sure was humbled and shed a tear or 20-ish.

 

 

When my 9-year-old  saw all the stuff that you left for us, the first thing she said was, “YAHOO!!! We have tuna, black olives, WHOA AND peanut butter!!!” Yes, she was beyond excited. ha. Oh the simple things that please her make me smile. I will say that the thing that made me jump for joy was the toilet paper. ha… Funny, but no joke. I smiled from ear to ear when I saw all that toilet paper. Oh and thank you for getting 2-ply because my frugal self  can make it last twice as long.  ha. Last week I posted on FB that I wanted someone to Toilet Paper my home because I needed toilet paper. hahaha. You must have read that post. ha.  I am forever grateful that the toilet paper was still in the package so I didn’t have to pull it off the trees and house.

 

Sometimes things unexpectedly happen and it causes a temporary hardship. Being a single parent is tough but the most rewarding feeling. Even though it’s a rocky road at times, things have always fallen into place for me and to this day, I don’t understand why or how things happen. Life continues to be good and thanks to you, I am able to continue going to the bathroom knowing I can freely wipe because I won’t run out of toilet paper anytime soon. In all seriousness, I truly am grateful for your Random Act of Kindness. I unfortunately can’t repay you because you decided to remain anonymous. I will however keep that Random Act of Kindness going and Pay It Forward.

Did you know that  World Kindness Day  is coming up on Nov. 13, 2014? And that there is a Random Acts of Kindness Week February 9-15, 2015? How gnarly would it be if we all did something awesome to make at least one person smile. Even if it’s just leaving a note. I double dog dare your to Pay it Forward!

Llegué a casa despues de un día agotador y encontré un mini supermercado en mi porche . Su Ley de bondad trajo una sonrisa a mi cara y lo que hizo fue muy apreciado. Esto puede sonar realmente horrible por mi parte, pero tuve una mezcla de emociones , todo al mismo tiempo cuando vi todo lo que dejaste para mi y mi hija. Yo estaba un poco enojada pero de una manera buena , feliz , desconcertado y humillada , todo al mismo tiempo. La única razón por la que estaba un poco enojado (pero en el buen sentido ) se debía a que no haya dejado una nota diciendo que eras . ¿Cómo en el mundo podría agradecerte por lo que hiciste si no dejas darte a conocer . Aye Aye Aye…. Yo estaba desconcertado porque no entiendo por qué en el mundo alguien haría esto por mí ? Yo me sentí humilde y derramé una lágrima o alamejor eran unas 20 lagrimas.
Cuando mi hija de 9 años de edad, vio todas las cosas que usted dejó para nosotros , lo primero que dijo fue: ” YAHOO !!! Tenemos atún, aceitunas , WOW y peanut butter!!! ” Sí , ella estaba más que emocionada . JA. Oh las cosas simples que le agradan me hacen sonreír . Me gustaría decir que a mi lo que me hizo saltar de alegría fue el papel higiénico. JAJA … Me da riza, pero no es broma . Realmente sonreí de oreja a oreja al ver todo el papel higiénico que trajiste. La semana pasada publiqué en FB que quería que alguien haga “toilet paper my home” porque necesitaba papel higiénico. hahaha (No se como se dice en español pero es cuando algien tira papel higiénico en los arboles y la casa) . Parece que usted debe haber leído ese mensaje . Jaja. Estoy eternamente agradecida de que el papel higiénico estaba todavía en el paquete , así que no tuve que sacarlo de los árboles o de la casa .

A veces las cosas ocurren inesperadamente y causa una dificultad temporal. Ser una madre soltera es difícil, pero es lo más gratificante . A pesar de que es un camino difícil, las cosas siempre han caído en lugar para mí y yo no entiendo por qué o cómo suceden las cosas . La vida sigue siendo buena y gracias a usted, yo puedo seguir yendo al baño sabiendo que puedo limpiarme libremente porque no voy a quedar sin papel higiénico en el corto plazo . jaja Con toda seriedad , realmente agradezco su acto al azar de la amabilidad . Lamentablemente, yo no te puedo pagarte porque usted decidió permanecer en el anonimato . Sin embargo voy a mantener ese acto al azar de la amabilidad y seguir con la cadena de favores .

¿Sabían que el Día Munial de la Bondad se acerca el 13 de noviembre de 2014? Y hay una semanda de Random Acts of Kindness el 9 a 15 febrero, 2015. Que suave sería si todos hiciéramos algo a cualquier persona. Y si todo lo que pueden hacer es sonreir a una persona seria fabuloso!
